To ensure the best possible images of your property, we have prepared the following tips to help you prepare your home ready for photography & open homes.

As Houses are photographed as presented, the following tips will help you remember all the important areas.

Real Estate Photography Tips

Outdoors

  • Remove Agent Signs from front of property
  • Remove rubbish, hoses, mowers, brooms, mops, etc.
  • Mow lawns and remove excess grass clippings
  • Remove dead palm fronds from ground the and weeds
  • Remove leaves & creepy crawly/hose from the pool and store neatly
  • Remove/tidy; bikes, toys, pool toys
  • Remove cob webs from eaves
  • Remove washing from clothes line
  • Put wheelie bin away & of sight
  • Remove cars from driveways and road in front of property (if possible)
  • Do not wash decks or driveways unless there is plenty of time for it to dry.

Kitchen

  • Remove all magnets/paper from fridge
  • Clear benches of clutter, appliances & personal items
  • Remove dish racks, clothes, brushes, detergents, tea towels etc.
  • Remove tissue boxes, papers
  • Remove bins and floor mats, from site
  • Neatly presented flowers and fruit are always welcome
  • Turn on all lights

Living Areas

  • Remove all personal items, books, mags etc.
  • Remove lounge covers & table cloths, unless item underneath is damaged
  • Remove pedestal fans
  • Turn the TV off
  • Turn on all lights

Bathroom

  • Remove all personal items, toothbrushes, razors, hair dryers etc. from benches, baths & showers
  • Put Toilet seat down
  • Neatly arrange towels & remove clothes baskets
  • Remove tissue boxes
  • Remove bins
  • Remove floor mats hanging from shower alcoves
  • Turn on all lights

Bedrooms

  • Make beds – Smooth, flat bedding will give the best result
  • Tidy belongings & put toys away
  • Minimise clutter & offensive posters
  • Turn on all lights

Twilight Shoot

If you are investing in a Twilight Shoot there are a few extra things you should do:

  • Please make sure all lights are working inside and out.
  • On evening of shoot – Turn on all lights and lamps inside and out including: Pool, Drive Way, Verandas, Foyer, Bedroom lamps, etc…
